Black Box Corp. Receives Certification for Services at Miami International Airport

Black Box Corp., a provider of voice communications, data infrastructure, and product solutions, announced that it has achieved ISO/IEC 20000-1:2005 certification for its IT services at the Miami International Airport.

According to company officials, Black Box manages and runs the Network Operations Center for the airport. Services include traditional telephony, messaging, mobility, network infrastructure, data networking, wireless connectivity, digital signage, and network maintenance. Black Box noted it is the first time it has received this certification.

ISO/IEC 20000-1:2005 is the IT Service Management Standard issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Black Box received the certification in February 2009 as part of its commitment to quality IT Service Management. To be certified, the company implemented an integrated set of management processes for the delivery of IT services to the staff, businesses, and customers at the Miami International Airport (MIA) and consistently exhibits the commitment of Black Box and Miami International Airport.

Black Box said it also holds ISO 9001:2000 certifications for its U.S., Canada, Europe, Latin America, and Pacific Rim operations.

Gorga, Director of Operations for Black Box. "This certification reaffirms our dedication to providing our clients with the highest level of service governed by industry best practices."
