Regions Financial hires new EVP for healthcare banking division

Regions Financial has named John Barton as executive vice president leading the healthcare banking division.

Mr Barton, who will be based in Nashville, Tennessee, most recently served as managing director and co-head of the healthcare group for SunTrust.

Jim Schmitz, middle Tennessee area president, said: "We made the deliberate decision to keep our healthcare division in Nashville, and we are ecstatic to add someone of John's caliber and background. John is a great fit for Regions with his exceptional experience as a seasoned and successful commercial banking executive not to mention his Nashville roots."
