Orion Health Climbs Seven Spots on Healthcare Informatics 100

Orion Health Inc., (http://www.orionhealth.com) a market leader in providing clinical workflow and integration technology for electronic health record (EHR) solutions, today announced its position among the top 100 Healthcare IT companies, as ranked by Healthcare Informatics. Listed in the top 100 for the fourth year running, the company moved up seven positions since 2008, to 63rd place.

Much of Orion Health's success can be attributed to an ever-increasing need for data integration and the recent call from the federal government urging healthcare providers to implement an EHR system. In addition, the company has gained market in the public health industry as the CDC and other federal agencies urging departments of health to strengthen their emergency systems and improve nation-wide early detection and rapid response.

Paul Viskovich, Orion Health President of North America and EMEA Operations says "This is the second year in a row we've made a jump of seven places and we plan to continue the upward trend as we increase our position as the provider of choice when it comes to health data integration."

Orion Health has experienced continued growth and success in 2009, with license revenues for Rhapsody(TM) and Symphonia software up 50% on last year. In 2008 the company announced its position as New Zealand's leading software exporter (http://www.orionhealth.com/newsroom/archive-2008/orion-health-hits-top-spot-as-nzs-leading-software-exporter), reporting $53 million NZD in consolidated gross revenue for 2008. Orion Health continues to expand its efforts in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, recently opening offices in Boston and Reading in the UK.

Founded in 1993 by CEO Ian McCrae, Orion Health is the largest New Zealand owned software exporter and regarded internationally as a leading provider of health data management systems.
