June 5, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- Purple Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRPL) (Current Market Cap: US$20.64 Mil.) has appointed Dominic A. Gomez the company's new president. He joins the firm from Hanaro Telecom, Inc., a Korean telecommunications provider.
Gomez was Hanaro's chief operating officer from 2005 to 2008 where he led all day-to-day operations. Prior to joining Hanaro Telecom, he held senior and executive management positions at Qwest Communications (NYSE: Q), AT&T (NYSE: T) and PacBell.
At Purple, Gomez succeeds outgoing president Ed Routhier, who will continue to support the company in the non-managerial capacity as a senior advisor.
