VIPdesk CEO Named "Home-Based Business Champion of the Year" by the Small Business Administration

Mary Naylor, the CEO and co-founder of VIPdesk, an innovative pioneer in virtual contact center (http://www.vipdesk.com) services, was named "Home-Based Business Champion of the Year" by the Small Business Administration at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on June 4, 2009. Naylor was presented this award due to her personal experience with the rewards and difficulties of owning a home-based business, and her team's efforts to improve acceptance of a virtual workforce.

"I am honored to accept this award on behalf of the entire VIPdesk (http://www.vipdesk.com) team, which has been working tirelessly for the past 10 years to make the dream of a seamless home-based workforce a reality," said Naylor. "Home-based businesses not only help the environment, but also help qualified Americans--no matter where they live--have opportunities to work when they otherwise might not. I look forward to the growth of the home-based workforce in the near future, and will continue to champion this business model."

Naylor, who has championed the home-based workforce (http://www.vipdesk.com) both through her leadership of VIPdesk and her service on the Board of Directors of the Telework Coalition (TelCoa), was chosen to receive this award due to several factors. These factors include volunteering time and energy to improve the conditions for home-based businesses; engaging in entrepreneurial training, policy development efforts, or financial or business planning specifically tailored for home-based businesses; demonstrated interest in home-based businesses; and measurable accomplishments in advancing home-based businesses.
