Fortune Brands raises $500 million through private placement

According to Reuters, the International Financing Review reported that Fortune Brands, Inc., a US-based consumer brands company, has raised $500 million through a private placement of 5-year notes.

Barclays PLC, Credit Suisse Group, JPMorgan, and RBS Greenwich Capital Markets, Inc. acted as the joint book-running managers for the sale.
