Teradyne Ships 500th Gen4 Microwave Instrument to Sigurd

Teradyne, a supplier of automatic test equipment, reported that it has delivered the 500th Gen4 Microwave instrument to Sigurd Microelectronics, a provider of semiconductor assembly and test services in Taiwan.
Sigurd will use the Gen4 to test devices for mobile phones, including GSM transceivers, Bluetooth and GPS. Sigurd selected the Gen4 after an extensive evaluation process.
Teradyne explained that its wireless device test solutions, the Gen4 Microwave and the UltraWave 12G, cover a broad range of complex wireless test requirements, including wireless LAN, Bluetooth, set-top box, cellular, and emerging standards like WiMAX and LTE.
Sigurd will be adding the UltraWave to its portfolio to test high-end RF devices including 3G, WiMAX, 802. 11n MIMO and more.
