Xplore Gets Orders from Utility Services Firm

Xplore Technologies Corp., a company involved in the design and development of rugged tablet computers, announced it has received approximately $2.8 million in orders to date from a utility services firm.
According to company officials, the total project has the potential to bring $10 million in revenue to the company over approximately two years based on the current planned roll out of several thousand Xplore iX104C4 Tablet PCs to be installed in service vehicles around the US.
"The Xplore platform provides this service firm's utility customers with a tool that significantly improves speed and efficiency across several proprietary work order management applications," said Mark Holleran, President of Xplore Technologies. "The new, enhanced features of the iX104C4 have made this tablet a valuable addition to the utility sector. We continue to be proud of this accomplishment."
The iX104C4 design implements sunlight readable display technology, Dual Mode user interface, redesigned antennae, new integrated wireless modules, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition/ Vista Business compatibility.
