Quiksilver Australia, an operating entity of outdoor sports lifestyle company Quiksilver, has selected Enterasys, the network infrastructure and security division of Siemens Enterprise Communications Group, as its core network provider for retail and corporate locations across Australia and New Zealand.
According to Enterasys, the high-performance network delivers support for retail, operations, design and distribution applications in real-time to Quiksilver Australia's business environment and customer base.
The solution includes Enterasys N-Series switches in the network core and A-Series and B-Series switches in the distribution center, offering high-capacity switching and Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities to support VoIP and wireless devices.
Glen Stewart, systems engineer at Quiksilver Australia, said: "With Enterasys, our infrastructure can easily handle massive waves of traffic and adapt to rapid changes in our business demands. We now consistently exceed our SLA goals for network performance and uptime, which gives us more time to focus on strategic projects and planning for the future."
