Papa John's International Inc names Chris Sternberg as general counsel

Pizza chain Papa John's International Inc (NASDAQ:APZZA) revealed on Monday that its senior vice president of Corporate Communications, Chris Sternberg, has been given additional responsibility as general counsel of the company.
Sternberg has been with the company since 1994 and has served as interim general counsel since December 2008. He will report to Papa John's president and chief operating officer, Jude Thompson.
Three other appointments were also announced by Papa John's on Monday.
Tim O'Hern, who was with the company from 2005 to 2007 as senior vice president of Development, is returning to the same position. O'Hern was VP of Development from 1997 to 2002.
The company's former general counsel and most recently chief development officer, Chuck Schnatter, is transitioning to the role of managing director of Special Projects. In this position he will be responsible for franchise transfers, workouts and restaurant portfolio management.
The new chief of staff and VP of Strategic Planning will be Lance Tucker. He will oversee strategic planning for the company, besides helping Jude Thompson and company founder and chairman John Schnatter with projects.
