MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Taps Teradyne's i-VIEW Prima for Vehicle Communication Interface

Teradyne, Inc. announced that MAN Nutzfahrzeuge, a division of MAN Group, a supplier of trucks, buses, diesel engines and turbo machinery, has placed an order for 4,000 i-VIEW Prima units.

i-VIEW Prima is a hand-held gateway that allows factory and repair shop technicians to communicate with a vehicle to quickly solve problems. T-200 is the brand name used at MAN for the Teradyne i-VIEW family.

The T-200/i-VIEW Prima will be used by MAN service technicians to communicate between a PC and the vehicle, and will be distributed to MAN diagnostic centers worldwide. The order also includes software development to add new functionality to the T-200/i-VIEW Prima and further extend MAN's diagnostic capabilities.

"Our choice was based on the proven reliability of both the product and supplier. The T-200 is a cornerstone in our long-term diagnostic strategy, allowing MAN to introduce new diagnostic features, and setting the stage for our next generation of diagnostic applications."

Based in Munich, Germany, the MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group is the largest company in the MAN Group and an international provider of efficient commercial vehicles and transport solutions.

Teradyne is a supplier of Automatic Test Equipment used to test complex electronics used in the consumer electronics, automotive, computing, telecommunications, and aerospace and defense industries.
