Company: Google Inc (GOOG)
After a Today Show spot showcasing the new voice application, Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) said via Twitter that invites to people on the reservation list would start going out at a higher volume today. Google Voice head Craig Walker also noted, "About GV invites...there's a pretty long list as you can imagine...will take a little bit to get through them all:)." The new is an all-in-one calling/voicemail solution that allows users to distribute one number to contacts, and assign which, if not all of their phones, will ring. Users can also assign personal voicemail messages to certain users, block unwanted calls, and Google will even transcribe voice messages. Domestic calls will be free along with the service and international calls will be cheap.
