'Sonera launches music library with PacketVideo'
Jun 26, 2009 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) --
TeliaSonera Finland has launched the Sonera Music Play music library, a music service produced by PacketVideo (PV) which allows subscribers to download and play music files on up to three PCs and two mobile devices. The music service includes a library of more than four million music tracks which can be accessed in unlimited quantity for a single monthly subscription fee. Sonera Music Play employs PV's music service, including client software for mobile devices and PCs that enables users to synchronise music files between their PC, handset and other compatible CE devices without the need to change file formats or pay separate payload or delivery fees. Additionally, the service will be available on a broad number of Windows Mobile, Symbian and Java handsets. PV's service enables TeliaSonera to customise both language and user interface appearance to specific brands throughout the TeliaSonera network. The service also incorporates PV's proprietary SDC digital rights management system, which ensures media usage rights are maintained in a manner that is unobtrusive to users, while making file sharing and synchronisation across multiple devices possible. TeliaSonera will work with PV to expand the offering to its additional regional brands over the next year. TeliaSonera launched similar music services in Sweden and Norway in late 2008.
