Teradata, a company focused on data warehousing and enterprise analytics, announced that Bank of the West, a San Francisco-based subsidiary of BNP Paribas, has selected the Teradata Active Enterprise Data Warehouse platform.
The platform will provide a foundation for enterprise-wide analytics to support BASEL II compliance requirements, enhance marketing and improve customer service.
"After a competitive review of proposals, we selected Teradata to provide a single source of data for external and internal reporting and to deliver business intelligence for strategic and operational decision making," said Donald Duggan, chief information officer, Bank of the West. "Teradata understands our unique information requirements and has a proven record of helping global financial services institutions build a foundation for enterprise intelligence."
In addition to selecting the Teradata Active Enterprise Data Warehouse platform, Bank of the West purchased the Teradata Financial Services Logical Data Model, a data blueprint that enables quick deployment.
