Blackstone Group reports joining of Philip Levinson as managing director of Asia region

Investment and advisory firm the Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) stated on Monday that with effect from 6 July 2009 its new managing director will be Philip Levinson.

Levinson will oversee the raising of capital for the company's suite of funds, maintain client relationships and help develop new products for institutional investors in the entire Asia Pacific region.

Prior to Blackstone, Levinson was with RREEF, Deutsche Asset Management's real estate, infrastructure and private equity platform.

Additionally, Levinson is the Honorary Secretary of the Asian Public Real Estate Association (APREA), co-chair of APREA's Sustainability Committee and chair of the Asian Property Derivatives Interest Group.
