SAS Group chooses RSA security solution

RSA, a division of EMC (NYSE:EMC) said Tuesday that its RSA Data Loss Prevention Suite has been selected by Scandinavian airline group SAS to secure sensitive information.
No details of the value of the transaction were disclosed.
The company said that SAS will use the application to scan its IT environment to locate and secure information relating to passengers, such as personal identification, passenger lists, payment information, and business information.
The RSA Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Suite is an integrated suite of data security products that are engineered to leverage common policies across the infrastructure to discover and protect sensitive data from loss, leakage or misuse in a datacenter, on the network, and on endpoints.
The SAS Group has an extensive IT infrastructure from large datacentres to many smaller remote sites. With 40 million passengers and 831 daily departures in 2008, SAS processes and stores significant amounts of sensitive data.
