Office Depot Unveils Special Pre-Sale Offer for Windows 7

Office Depot, a provider of office products and services, announced it is offering customers the ability to pre-order Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Professional software for a limited time and at pre-sale prices available from Office Depot.
The company said the special pre-sale offer is available now through July 11.
"We are very excited to be able to offer our customers the newest Microsoft products through Office Depot," said Steve Mahurin, Executive VP of Merchandising for Office Depot. "These very special pre-sale prices on Windows 7 will give our customers a fantastic value for being among the first to get the new Windows 7 upgrade."
Office Depot said Windows Vista compatible computers will be able to upgrade to the new features of Windows 7.
"We have worked with Office Depot to create an offer that we mutually feel will bring unique value and choice to consumers making Windows and PC buying decisions," said Brad Brooks, corporate VP for Windows Consumer Product Marketing at Microsoft Corp. "With the availability of Office Depot's Windows 7 pre-sale offerings, it's a great time to purchase a Windows PC."
Windows 7 will work on a broader array of hardware than any other release of Windows at launch:
- 1GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
- 1 GB of RAM (32-bit)/2 GB of RAM (64-bit)
- 16 GB of available disk space (32-bit)/20 GB (64-bit)
- DirectX 9 graphics device with Windows Display Driver Model 1.0 or higher driver
