IBM awarded $17m deal From India's Amul

IBM has won a 10-year, INR 800m ($16.7m) contract from Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, Amul, to provide strategic outsourcing services.
IBM said it will transform the IT structure of Amul with the management and operation of its IT environment based on SAP ERP and its own technology platform.
It will also build a data unit backed by a disaster recovery center, define Amul's security policy, and maintain and manage all of Amul's IT systems.
Sandip Patel, managing partner of global business services, IBM India and South Asia said: "This win is another example of IBM's commitment to help organizations build streamlined, smarter analytical solutions that allow them to become more resilient, and better positioned for growth.
