Atlantic Contingency Constructors, a joint venture of The Shaw Group (NYSE:SGR) and AECOM Government Services, was awarded task orders for the improvement, design and construction of sustainable energy systems for the U.S. Navy. Installments included in the tasks are locations in Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Mississippi and Texas. The company said that the task orders, worth up to $100 million, are funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, and will be included in the company's fourth fiscal quarter backlog of unfilled orders. Shares of The Shaw group fell more than 2% during Tuesday trading.
