Tech Data Expands Distribution Partnership with Hitachi Software

Tech Data, an IT products distributor, announced an expansion of its distribution partnership with Hitachi Software Engineering America, to include the manufacturer's StarBoard interactive whiteboards.

"Tech Data's Digital Signage and Projectors SBU continues to diversify its product offering, providing resellers with access to the latest solutions and connecting more vendors to the channel partners they need to grow their businesses," said Tech Data VP, Peripherals Product Marketing Wendy Linsky. "The addition of Hitachi StarBoards is timely since we anticipate the first spending opportunities from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to emerge soon."

Interactive whiteboards take the place of traditional chalkboards, dry-erase whiteboards and paper easels for presentations, note taking and other communications activities. Content on a digital whiteboard is instantly transferable to a desktop or notebook, where it can be archived, reviewed and shared. Coupled with projectors and the right accessories, resellers can develop a broad range of presentation solutions for customers of any size within the government, education, commercial and corporate markets.

Tech Data said it will distribute Hitachi's FXDUO and FX series of wired and wireless interactive whiteboards in sizes of 63, 77 and 82 inches; the Hitachi T-17SXL interactive LCD display with the StarBoard Software suite of collaboration tools to further enhance presentations, meetings, lessons and lectures; and the FreeFrame Mobile Stand system for mounting and moving Hitachi interactive whiteboards and short-throw projectors. Tech Data also distributes whiteboards from 3M, NEC and Panasonic.
