SmarTrend(R) News Watch: Sony's BRAVIA HDTV's Land Netflix Streaming Video Deal
Jul 09, 2009 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) --
Thursday morning, Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) and Sony (NYSE:SNE) announced their latest partnership that links online movie rental service with Sony's BRAVIA Internet. According to terms of the agreement, the deal brings instant Netflix streaming video to Sony's BRAVIA HDTVs that are compatible with the new internet video link module. Analysts and consumers, while excited over the deal, are sad to hear that the deal doesn't involve the PlayStation 3, which many feel is a golden opportunity in this teaming.
