Smartphone Sales on the Rise Despite Struggling Economic Conditions

According to research firm Gartner, Inc., sales for smartphones rose a dramatic 27 percent in the second quarter of 2009, compared to an overall loss for global cell phone sales. Iowa City, Iowa based Low Cost Cells (http://www.lowcostcells.com) sees the trend continue towards reasonably priced phones with added functionality.

"Customers are seeking out phones that provide them with the greatest capabilities at the best price," said President Nate Schmidt. "We work with our carriers to offer the most reasonable prices and to find the right match of phone and plan for each customer."

According to the Gartner report, Nokia is the number one selling phone maker in the world, followed by Samsung and LG.

"Our biggest sellers are the Samsung Eternity (http://www.lowcostcells.com/att_samsung-eternity-a867-black-12634.html) for AT&T, the LG Vu CU920 (http://www.lowcostcells.com/att_lg-vu-cu920-red-wine-12670.html) for AT&T, and the Verizon LG Voyager (http://www.lowcostcells.com/verizon_lg-voyager-vx10000-titanium-12540.html)," said Schmidt. Each of these phones is available at no cost for new customers with free two day shipping after instant rebates."

People with questions about their choice of account, phone selection or advice on which plan is right for them can ask questions online at any time through the question and answer section on LowCostCells.com, or search the recently asked questions for answers.

"We know how confusing it is to find what is right for you when there are so many products available," said Schmidt. "We offer the best prices on cell phones and plans, and provide our customers with the most accurate information so that they can make the right decision for them."

Low Cost Cells also offers customers the ability to compare prices and availability from all major U.S. carriers, including T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Nextel, and Sprint.

Low Cost Cells is an online distributor of cell phones for major cell phone carriers across the United States. The company's goal is to provide the best value and service in the cell phone industry.
