Procter & Gamble selects Ryder to manage logistics network in US and Mexico

The Procter & Gamble Company has selected Ryder System, a US-based provider of supply chain, warehousing and transportation management services, to manage a component of its logistics network in the US and Mexico, including cross-border transportation operations.
Ryder System has said that its North America logistics network provides complete supply chain visibility and transportation optimization utilizing innovative technology, highly trained logistics professionals and proven processes, resulting in freight consolidation, reduced transit time, and exceptional safety and security processes to the cross-border operations.
John Williford, president of supply chain solutions at Ryder, said: "We have developed an exciting control tower service where we take advantage of our technology and execution skills to put in place a solution with significantly less inventory and cycle times.
"We are pleased to work with a company of such high standards and look forward to using our expertise to drive value and service throughout the Procter & Gamble logistics network."
