EACOM Timber Corporation Announces Appointment of the Honourable John D. Reynolds, P.C. as a Director

EACOM Timber Corporation (NEX:ETR.H) announced today that effective August 13, 2009, the Hon. John D. Reynolds, P.C. was appointed as a director of Eacom.

Mr. Reynolds has nearly 40 years of experience at the highest levels of national and provincial government and in a diverse range of cross-border business enterprises. Having served as Minister of Environment for British Columbia, he has practical knowledge of governmental policy involving the interplay between land use, economic development and First Nations issues. Mr. Reynolds understands private and public financing sources for growing businesses through his experience as the president of an American-based venture capital company.

Mr. Reynolds is a senior business executive with substantial experience in venture capital development, consumer products marketing and natural resource development. He is a member of the board of directors for a number of resource companies (both private and public) including Ethoca Limited, Calibre Mining Corp., and Terrane Metals Corp. Mr. Reynolds served as a member of parliament from 1997 to 2006 and 1972 to 1977, including Leader of Her Majesty's Official Opposition. He was also a member of the British Columbia Legislative Assembly from 1983 to 1991 including Speaker of the House and Minister of the Environment. Mr. Reynolds was appointed to the Queen's Privy Council for Canada in February 2006 and he is the recipient of the Queen's Medal for both the Golden (2002) and Silver (1977) Jubilee, for significant contribution to his fellow Canadians.
