Cablevision Adds Free Video On Demand Content From Martha Stewart On Demand And Shalom TV

Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE: CVC) today announced the addition of programming from Martha Stewart On Demand and Shalom TV to the Free Video On Demand (VOD) library available to iO TV customers across the company's entire New York metropolitan service area.

Offering a range of short-form instructional videos, Martha Stewart On Demand allows viewers to select from segments organized by Martha's many areas of expertise, including Food, Crafts, Kids, Gardening, Weddings, Home and Decorating, and much more. Additionally, content will address Martha's seasonal selections for holiday how-tos -- with special clips and segments just right for the occasion. Initial programs will cover the Back to School season, Best of Weddings, Summer Fun and Favorite Summer Desserts.

Shalom TV, America's National Jewish Cable Television Network, is mainstream, independent and non-profit. The network features a wide array of Jewish programs including a weekly "Jewish Film Festival;" exclusive presentations of programs from the 92nd Street Y; news from and about Israel, a weekly Israel mini-tour and other features about the State of Israel; Jewish cooking; arts and culture; comedy and music; and meetings with leading figures from every sector of the Jewish community who are helping to shape modern Jewish life.

The Free On Demand programming from Martha Stewart On Demand and Shalom TV is accessible at no additional charge to digital customers with a set-top box through the Free On Demand menu on the iO TV user interface. All of Cablevision's On Demand titles are presented in crystal clear quality with DVD-like functionality including the ability to pause, fast-forward and rewind through the remote control. With more than 2.9 million iO TV customers, nearly 94 percent of Cablevision's cable customers are iO TV digital cable customers, the highest digital penetration in the nation. iO TV offers customers access to more than 400 channels, including 53 premium movie channels, 46 channels of commercial-free digital music, more than 6,000 titles available on demand at all times, an interactive programming guide, more than 100 channels of free HD and uniquely valuable and relevant interactive television applications including News 12 Interactive. Viewing high-definition programming generally requires a high-definition cable box or CableCARD and an HD-ready television set. Transactional HD VOD titles are available starting at $4.95.
