Meridian Health, Language Access Network Ink Video Language Services Pact

Meridian Health has selected the Language Access Network (LAN) as its exclusive partner to provide video language interpretation services that address the needs of its Limited English Proficient and Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing patient populations.

The companies said the services will be delivered via LAN'S dedicated HIPAA-compliant high-speed broadband network and through its proprietary remote video interpretation platform known as Marttitm. Martti stands for My Accessible Real Time Trusted Interpreter.

"All hospitals and health care providers across the country are serving increasingly diverse patient populations, making the need for high-quality interpretation resources more important than ever," said Allyson Silva, administrator, Language Assistance Program, Meridian Health. "Through Language Access Network, we hope to provide our patients with immediate and effective communication options to ease anxiety, ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment, and support the high quality clinical care provided at our medical centers in a cost-efficient manner."
