Verizon Wireless has activated a new cell site in Webster, Wisconsin. The new cell site is expected to expand the company's voice and data network from County Highway U south to County Highway D, west to County Highway FF and east to County Highway T.
Verizon said that it has invested more than $50 billion since it was formed, $5.5 billion on average every year, to increase the coverage and capacity of its nationwide network and to add new services. More than $277.4 million of this investment has been spent in Wisconsin, including more than $79.5 million in the past 18 months.
TJ Fox, president of the Wisconsin/Illinois region at Verizon Wireless, said: "This network expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to meet the growing needs of our customers and to provide them with the reliable, high-quality service they expect from Verizon Wireless. A major reason our customers choose Verizon Wireless and stay with us is because we offer the nation's most reliable network."
