Passlogix's v-Go Access Accelerator Suite Earns 5-Star Rating from SC Magazine

Passlogix, Inc. announced that its v-Go Access Accelerator Suite, an integrated set of single sign-on, authentication and provisioning enablement solutions, was named SC Magazine's "Best Buy" in a group test of seven password management products published in the magazine's August 1 edition.

Passlogix said its suite is anchored by v-Go Single Sign-On, a top enterprise single sign-on (ESSO) platform, with complementary modules that extend password provisioning and management to scenarios ranging from superuser accounts to shared workstations and users outside the enterprise.

v-Go earned five-star rankings on all criteria evaluated, including features, ease of use, performance, documentation, support, value for money and overall rating.

"In evaluating password management products, SC Magazine noted that users have to consider more than the core functionality of the solution. You also have to look at how well it integrates into the existing security infrastructure as well as the cost of deployment, cost of ownership, and ease of administration and provisioning," said Passlogix CEO Marc Boroditsky. A companion solution, v-Go On Demand, extends single sign-on beyond the enterprise to remote, mobile and temporary users, including home computers, physicians' offices that require access to hospital networks, and third-party partners or contractors.

Other v-Go solutions automate user sign-on and sign-off of kiosks at sites such as hospitals; enable authentication to applications, desktops and networks without expensive custom integration; securely manage shared account IDs such as those used by system administrators for privileged accounts; reconcile userIDs to expedite deployment of provisioning systems; and automate resets of Windows logon passwords.

The v-Go Access Accelerator Suite scales to tens of thousands of users, enables wizard-based integration that eliminates the need to write scripts or connectors even to homegrown or legacy applications, and installs on existing servers without adding dedicated or proprietary hardware.
