Par Subsidiary Wins $23.2 Million Contract with the U.S. Army

Rome Research, a subsidiary of Par Technology, announced it has received an award from the U.S. Army for a contract valued at $23.2 million to provide SATCOM Operations & Maintenance Services at the U.S. Army's Global Information Grid facility at Landstuhl, Germany.
The company said in an August 18 release that contract performance covers a 6 month base period with four one-year option periods. RRC has been operating and maintaining teleport commercial and military satellite terminals for the Army at Landstuhl, Germany for nearly five years under a separate contract.
Steve Lynch, President of Par's Government Operations said, "The contract award for the Landstuhl SATCOM facility O&M is a win for Rome Research as it again validates our excellence in providing I/T services for the Army and U.S. military."
The contract provides SATCOM Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS), Standardized Tactical Entry Point (STEP), Teleport, Regional Hub Node, Ka-Band Satellite Transmit and Receive System (KA STARS) and Deployable Ku-Band Earth Terminals (DKET) at the SATCOM Facility located at Kirchberg Kaserne in Landstuhl.
