Homeland Security Capital's Security Integrator Subsidiary Awarded Security Work at a Nuclear Power Generating Facility

Homeland Security Capital Corp. (HSCC), an international provider of specialized technology-based radiological, nuclear, environmental, disaster relief and security solutions to government and commercial customers, announced that Nexus Technologies Group (Nexus), a mid-Atlantic security integrator for the corporate and governmental security markets, and majority owned subsidiary of HSCC, has been awarded a contract totaling approximately $100,000 for services and equipment to facilitate the expansion of the security system at a Nuclear Power Generating Facility.

A high profile east coast utility is currently upgrading and expanding its security infrastructure and security systems at one of its Nuclear Power Generating Facilities located in the mid-Atlantic region. Nexus has been the vendor of choice for this utility at several other Nuclear Power Generating Facilities that this utility owns and operates. Furthermore, Nexus will be deploying complex technologies and supplying specialized equipment required to complete these projects.

"The Company was awarded these contracts based on our technical abilities and expertise as well as our previous experience working with these technologies at other nuclear power stations," said Nexus CEO Michael T. Brigante. "Our presence in this segment of the security industry continues to grow as we seek high value complex projects in the energy infrastructure marketplace."

Nexus continues to expand its relationship with this Nuclear Power Generating Facility owner by demonstrating its proficiency in the implementation of the unique security requirements of these sensitive facilities. In addition, the work being performed under this contract is in a new service area for Nexus and represents additional expansion of the Company's area of service coverage in the mid-Atlantic region.

Completion of the work under this contract is expected by the end of first quarter of fiscal 2010.

Nexus, a mid-Atlantic security integrator for the corporate and governmental security markets that specializes in non-proprietary integrated security solutions including access control, alarm, video, communication, perimeter protection and bomb and metal detection security systems.
