SDL, a UK-based provider of global information management solutions, has partnered with Continental Airlines to provide localization solutions.
SDL has said that it will translate Continental's web content, including highly sensitive information on travel safety, into five languages.
To accelerate time-to-market and reduce translation costs, Continental is expanding its global information management footprint, combining its existing use of SDL WorldServer for process automation with SDL Knowledge-based Translation System and localization services for all required languages.
SDL's localization service solutions are expected to allow Continental to achieve up to 30% cost savings and create a 40% reduction in turnaround time for translated content.
Peter Smith, senior vice president of SDL, said: "We are thrilled that SDL and Continental are working together to implement innovative solutions to decrease Continental's overall translation costs while delivering high quality translations at a rapid pace."
