TIBCO Software acquires DataSynapse

TIBCO Software, Inc., a provider of infrastructure software, has acquired DataSynapse, Inc., a provider of grid computing software for commercial applications, for approximately $28 million in cash. Both the companies are based in the US.

Earlier, DataSynapse had secured venture funding from Bain Capital Venture Partners, LLC, GS Capital Partners L.P., NeoCarta Ventures, Inc., Intel Capital, New York City Investment Fund, Silicon Alley Venture Partners, LLC, Stonehenge Capital Company, LLC, and Wand Partners, Inc.
