SRA International Receives $53.5 Million Homeland Security Order

August 26, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- SRA International, Inc. (NYSE: SRX) said it has been awarded a task order by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to monitor their information technology enterprise and assess IT security threats. The task order value is over $53 million, if all options are exercised.

Under the award, SRA will provide core primary and failover security operations center services for up to five years.

The order is for Homeland Security's TSA, which is responsible for security of the U.S.'s transportation systems, involving cooperation with state, local and regional partners.

According to SRA, TSA requires a partner to monitor their IT enterprise by detecting, analyzing and coordinating the response to cyber attacks.

Fairfax, Virginia-based SRA International and its subsidiaries are focused on such areas as air surveillance and air traffic management, contract research organization services, cyber security, disaster response planning, enterprise resource planning, environmental strategies, IT systems, infrastructure and managed services, logistics and others.
