Department of Energy Reports Oil Inventories Rise Slightly, Gasoline Falls

The Department of Energy reported that crude oil inventories rose last week by 128,000 barrels ,vs. an expectation for a draw of 1.15 million barrels. Gasoline inventories fell by a more-than-expected 1.7 million barrels; analysts were expecting a decline of only 800,000. Crude for October delivery (NYMEX: CLV9) is trading lower by 0.5% to $71.70 / barrel.
