8/28/2009 - French consumer affairs minister Herve Novelli met with commercial director of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) France today to discuss at least eight reports of iPhone screen cracking or "exploding" that have emerged in France and elsewhere in Europe during the past two weeks, according to an iLounge report. Tests have yielded no explanation and Apple is sticking to its story that external pressure or forces led to the incidents. Novelli said that it was "too early to blame anyone," and that the company will remain in close contact.
