Truveo and Univision Team for Online Videos

Truveo and Univision Interactive Media announced that Truveo's video search capabilities are now available on Univision.com, allowing users to search and browse a comprehensive index of videos.

The partnership with Univision Interactive Media, the interactive division of Univision Communications, a Spanish-language media company in the United States, provides integrated access to Truveo's video search engine.

"For the first-time ever, our users can easily search and find Spanish-language videos worldwide," said Kevin Conroy, President of Univision Interactive Media. "This partnership delivers a truly comprehensive video search experience that is tailor-made for our audience. It also exemplifies our ongoing commitment to providing U.S. Hispanics with the best possible web experience."

"The Truveo video search platform allows us to provide Univision.com users access to the most comprehensive index of online video across the Web," said Pete Kocks, President of Truveo and Vice President of AOL. "This new partnership helps Univision Interactive Media enhance its network of sites with a powerful new video search tool, while giving Truveo an ideal way to reach the growing online Hispanic marketplace."

Univision.com is leveraging Truveo's APIs to provide users with an improved search experience and the ability to search for videos on both Univision.com and from across the Web, including user-generated content from YouTube, Dailymotion and others, as well as video from major media brands such as ABC, BBC, CNN, Disney and ESPN. In addition, Truveo's APIs enable website owners to create applications with video search and discovery features that build on Truveo's video search technology and index of more than 400 million videos.

Univision Interactive Media joins Truveo's growing list of partners, which includes AOL Video, AOL Search, CBS Radio, CNET's Search.com, SFGate.com and Sports Illustrated Vault.
