Cisco Systems to form joint venture with EMC Corporation

Companies: Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO), EMC Corp. (EMC)

Cisco Systems, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of communications, network, and information technology related products, has agreed to form a joint venture with EMC Corporation to develop an integrated data center platform for computing, networking and storage. Both the companies are based in the US.

EMC is a provider of products, services and solutions for information management and storage.

Following the transaction, the joint venture will be a separate company funded by both Cisco and EMC.
