Muslim Group Calls For Unity Among Ummah

Abuja Muslim Forum(AMF) has organised its annual special interactive Ramadan Iftar, with a call for unity among the Muslim Ummah.Addressing the gathering at the Central Mosque, Abuja recently, the Ameer of AMF, Engr. Musa Aliyu, urged Muslim brothers and sisters to create love and care for one another in other to bring unity among Muslims.
Speaking in the same vein, Ustaz Umar Yanda, who was the guest speaker at the occasion, educated Muslims on 'Ramadan and Muslim Unity,' saying that the month is unique for everyone because it is the month of Qur'an and blessing, the month were Allah forgives easily, the month of freedom, security, safeguard and protection. According to him, the Prophet Muhammad(SAW) said that during the month of Ramadan, all doors leading to paradise are left open 24hours, the doors leading to hell fire are put under lock and key, and the enemies are chained into prison. He urged Muslim brothers and sisters to do away with evil, avoid keeping malice, and stop neglecting one another. He called on Muslims to recite the noble Qur'an while worshiping Allah (SWT).On unity, the scholar reminded Muslims that it was not only fasting in the month of Ramadan that was a unifying symbol, "It goes beyond that, because when we take the entire five pillars of Islam, they all indicate one thing, which is the unity of the Ummah."When you said Lailah illalahu Muhammadin Rasulullahi Sallallahu Alan Wasallim, it indicates why Muslims must come together," he added.
