QinetiQ North America Subsidiary Honored by Kennedy Space Center

A QinetiQ North America subsidiary, Analex Corporation, has been honored as Large Business Prime Contractor of 2009 by NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The award recognizes outstanding engineering and technical management services to NASA on the Expendable Launch Vehicle Integrated Support (ELVIS) contract to the NASA Launch Services Program (LSP). QinetiQ North America's Analex subsidiary supports NASA's LSP Team with launch vehicle system engineering and mission analysis oversight of commercial launch services contractors.

"This award was a great honor and a great surprise to us," says Charlie Floyd, Vice President, Engineering Services. "And we're proud to continue our longstanding service to NASA."

"We are very proud of the work our people do at the Kennedy Space Center," says Paul Lockhart, QinetiQ North America's Senior Vice President for Space Operations and Services. "Speaking as a former Shuttle pilot, I can say that nothing is more important to space operations than the kind of mission assurance we help give our NASA customer."

The company also operates and maintains communications and telemetry ground facilities at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It provides base operations support for NASA-operated facilities at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California as well, giving it a significant presence at the nation's two largest space launch facilities.
