Israeli generic drugmaker Teva Pharmaceutical Industries plans to shift approximately 315 jobs from Ireland to other cost-effective sites in eastern Europe or Israel, reported Reuters.
According to the news source, Teva cited high costs for the relocation of the jobs from the Waterford facility in Ireland.
Reuters quoted Tom McCabe, managing director of Teva's Irish unit, as saying: "The production of these products will be transferred to a low-cost economy and the locations available are in Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia and even in Israel."
