Citrix to Participate in Keynote Panel Discussion at Forrester's Security Forum 2009

Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), today announced Citrix CIO and Corporate Vice President Paul Martine will participate in a keynote panel discussion at Forrester's Security Forum 2009, titled "Successful Approaches to Addressing Consumerization: A Panel Discussion." The panelists will examine the policies, controls and practices to minimize the threat of consumerization. Panelists will also discuss how consumer-grade hardware and software have penetrated the enterprise as workers begin to demand Apple iPhones, and other technologies such as Google Docs, Apple computers, Skype and Twitter. Attendees will learn what the threats versus benefits are of supporting consumer technologies in the enterprise; how to evolve security and risk practices to combat the risks of consumerization; and what employee acceptable use policies are for today's security executives. Forrester defines consumerization as "an adoption trend led by a technology-native workforce that self-provisions collaborative tools, information sources and human networks--requiring minimal or no ongoing support from a central IT organization."
