Transcend Services Secured A 5-Year Contract With Health Management Associates (TRCR,HMA)

9/11/2009 - Transcend Services Inc. (NASDAQ:TRCR) said Friday that it secured a five-year single-source contract with Health Management Associates Inc. (NYSE:HMA). The value of the contract was not disclosed. The contract expands the existing relationship the two companies have. Transend had individual contracts with about 45 of Health Management's 56 hospitals and this contract will include hospitals that are currently using other transcription service providers. Transcend expects the new agreement to add about 4 cents per share to its annual earnings.
