A Regional Electric & Gas Distribution Utility Company Achieves Operational Efficiency & Increased Customer Service Satisfaction With GuiXT Solutions

Synactive, Inc. (www.guixt.com), a leading developer of optimization and user enablement solutions for SAP (NYSE: SAP) today announced a Regional Electric & Gas Distribution Company's successful upgrade and implementation of simplification across all capital work processes enabling a simpler view of compatible units, costing and customer service management with GuiXT.

The Utility's installation of services to new residential customers was reduced from weeks to days via the simplification of the service notification creation and customer record generation with GuiXT. The amount of time it took a customer service representative to capture all the information was 8 minutes and is now reduced by 50%. Having an immediate, single and complete picture of customer's requirements results in an increase to the numbers of calls serviced on contact.

GuiXT Desktop solution is used in Compatible Units and Operational Level Costing to capture metrics and estimated and actual costs for construction activities.

The Utility's upgrade to SAP ECC 6.0 was virtually seamless. The use of Synactive's Development Suite allowed the SAP business process owners to easily identify new functionality included with SAP ECC 6.0 package and make necessary changes to the simplified views. Updates were easy and instantaneous. Their team completed the development & testing within one week.
