Bridgewater Unveils Comprehensive LTE Product Suite

Smart Subscriber, Service and Policy Controls Enable Service Providers to Rapidly Trial and Launch LTE

Bridgewater Systems (TSX: BWC), the mobile personalization company, today unveiled its comprehensive Long Term Evolution (LTE) product suite. New products generally available include the Bridgewater(R) Home Subscriber Server and Policy Controller which are both anchored by Bridgewater's Subscriber Data Broker(TM) and are fully compliant with the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Release 8 Standards. Several global trials with major service providers are in the planning and implementation stages with an expanded partner and interoperability ecosystem also announced today.

News

    - Bridgewater's new products for the LTE Evolved Packet Core (EPC) draw
on the company's extensive experience with Tier 1 service providers
and market leadership in subscriber, service, and policy control
solutions optimized for the demands of mobile data. The products are
fully compliant with 3GPP Release 8 standards for LTE and include:

    - The Bridgewater Home Subscriber Server (HSS), a master repository
that contains subscriber and device profile and state information,
and manages subscriber identities, service profiles,
authentication, authorization, and quality of service in real
time. The HSS federates data from existing Home Location Registers
and other databases for service parity and network migrations. It
is undergoing extensive interoperability testing with leading
Mobility Management Entity (MME) solution providers.

    - The market leading Bridgewater Policy Controller (PCRF) provides
smart network, application, and subscriber policies that allow
service providers to manage mobile data growth and deliver
personalized services. Extensive interoperability testing with
leading Servicing and Packet Data Network Gateway solution
      providers is underway.

    - Inter-working with non-3GPP networks such as WiFi, EVDO and WiMAX
is supported by an optional Authorization, Authentication and
Accounting (3GPP AAA) module. It ensures seamless mobility and
      service portability across different networks.

    - Bridgewater's Subscriber Data Broker provides a common subscriber
data management platform that brings together rich, dynamic
subscriber data with the sophisticated tools to broker that data
to multiple systems and applications to personalize services.

    - The LTE product suite is available in several flexible deployment
      options:

      - The Bridgewater(R) EPC 500 is an integrated system which includes
the Bridgewater Home Subscriber Server and Policy Controller on a
single hardware platform. It allows service providers to quickly
and cost-effectively engage in lab trials and limited network
deployments and can scale as services grow.

      - The Home Subscriber Server and the Policy Controller are available
as stand-alone, single purpose systems that can easily integrate
with other components of an EPC network.

    - It enables service providers to:

      - Implement smart subscriber, service, and policy controls to manage
the complexities of exponential mobile data traffic growth, and
        millions of subscribers, devices, and applications;

      - Rapidly launch LTE trials and early deployments using a fully
integrated and tested EPC system which includes both the HSS and
        PCRF;

      - Ensure seamless network evolution through centralized control
across all mobile access technologies including LTE, GSM/HSPA,
CDMA/EVDO, WiMAX, Wi-Fi and Femtocells. This allows service
providers to optimize and seamlessly offload mobile data traffic
and applications across different networks, as well as enable
        service portability; and

      - Introduce LTE-ready controls in 3G networks to ensure a smooth
        evolution.
