LGS Earns ISO 9001:2008 Certification

LGS, a subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent) dedicated to serving the U.S. government community, announced LGS-Federal Solutions was awarded a certificate of registration for the International Quality Standard - ISO 9001:2008.
"Achieving the ISO 9001:2008 certification is a significant milestone for LGS," said David Bishop, COO, LGS. "ISO certification reflects our commitment to delivering the highest quality services and products to the U.S. government."
The ISO 9001 standard is a widely recognized and established quality management system framework. The standard specifies requirements for organizational Quality Management Systems and is focuses on an organization's ability to meet customer requirements and continuously improve.
The certification process focused on LGS' Project Delivery Methodology (PDM). PDM is LGS's proprietary delivery process based on more than 30 years of U.S. government experience.
"Capturing knowledge at the project level and making it available to the rest of the organization is critical to our ability to provide best-in-class performance," said Ed Eldridge, general manager, LGS. "PDM enables us to leverage our experience and consistently deliver the highest quality from the smallest to the largest projects."
