AirTran Airways Continues Caribbean Expansion by Announcing Flight to Aruba

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today released schedules for new service to Aruba. These flights will mark the airline's fifth Caribbean destination and are in addition to recently announced service to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Nassau, Bahamas and existing service to Cancun, Mexico, and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

AirTran Airways will begin flights to Aruba from Atlanta on December 19, 2009, and from Orlando on February 13, 2010. The popular tourist destination will also connect to dozens of other AirTran cities. All flights to and from Aruba are subject to final government approval.
