China Life Insurance Premium Growth Still Negative

China Life Insurance Company Limited (SHSE: 601628, SEHK: 2628), the largest life insurer in the country, had witnessed original premium revenue of about CNY 210.7 billion by August 2009, falling 6.44% over CNY 225.2 billion in the same period of a year earlier.
China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 601601) had seen original premium revenue of CNY 68.4 billion by August, falling 1.01% over the figure in the same period of a year earlier. Monthly premium revenue was CNY 7.5 billion in August, growing 5.63% over the figure in the previous month.
Original premium revenue at Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. (SHSE: 601318; SEHK: 2318), the country's second biggest insurer by premiums, had arrived at CNY 93.03 billion by August, rising 34% over the same period of a year earlier, inching down over the growth of 34.9% in the previous month. Monthly premium revenue was CNY 10.166 billion in August, a year-on-year growth of 27.8%, almost the same as the growth in the previous month.
