Minefinders Corporation Ltd.-Announces Bought Deal Financing

Minefinders Corporation Ltd. (TSX: MFL)(NYSE Amex: MFN) (the "Company") has announced today that it has entered into an agreement with a syndicate of underwriters led by BMO Capital Markets and Scotia Capital Inc. under which the underwriters have agreed to buy on a bought deal basis by way of a supplement to the Company's base shelf prospectus filed in Canada and the base shelf prospectus filed in the U.S., 6,200,000 common shares (the "Common Shares") at a price of C$10.65 per Common Share for gross proceeds of C$66,030,000 (the "Offering"). The Company has granted the underwriters an option, for a period of 30 days following the closing of the Offering, to purchase up to an additional 900,000 Common Shares of the Offering to cover over-allotments, if any. The net proceeds of the Offering will be used for debt repayment, continued development of La Bolsa, future expansion and mill construction at Dolores and general corporate purposes. The Offering is expected to close on or about September 29, 2009 and is subject to Company receiving all necessary stock exchange approvals.
