Axway Integrates SecureTransport with Synchrony Sentinel

Axway, a provider of multi-enterprise solutions and infrastructure, announced the latest release of SecureTransport, one of its managed file transfer (MFT) solutions.

Following Axway's strategy since its merger with Tumbleweed Communications, the company said that SecureTransport now integrates with Synchrony Sentinel to provide visibility inside and outside the enterprise. SecureTransport also provides users of Sterling Commerce's Connect:Direct with more open, Internet-based connectivity. Additionally, it features an expanded and enriched end-user experience for file transfers via a new Internet Client.

Pairing SecureTransport with Sentinel offers extended end-to-end visibility services for auditing and reporting on file transfer activity at a business and technical level, internally and across trading communities. The solution provides proactive notifications and real-time dashboards via event processing capabilities to correlate and correct potential process problems before they become a business threat.

"By merging Axway with Tumbleweed, we brought together two of the MFT market leaders," said Christophe Fabre, CEO at Axway. "The integration of Tumbleweed's SecureTransport with the Synchrony framework underscores Axway's commitment to Tumbleweed's products and customers. Now SecureTransport offers end-to-end visibility and governance over all file-based interaction patterns - business-to-business, system-to-system, and person-to-person - to meet our customers' growing community needs."

"We found an efficient, cost-effective solution to replace our proprietary [electronic data interchange] EDI platform," said Ruben Ramirez, director of information technology at Insurers Administrative. "The solution had to be one that could meet and maintain our compliance demands, give us visibility and control of file transfers, and at the same time grow with our business needs. With SecureTransport and Sentinel from Axway, we believe we found a powerful solution that will be easy for our partners to use, while providing the security and privacy we require to protect our internal information."
