'WiMAX Forum names Yota CEO to board of directors'

The WiMAX Forum has named CEO Dennis Sverdlov of Russian mobile Wimax network Yota as a member of its board of directors. Prior to his position as Yota's CEO, Sverdlov was a shareholder and member of the board of directors at Korus Consulting, an IT-consulting company in Saint Petersburg, where he spent four years managing the sales department. Other members of the WiMAX Forum board include Airspan Networks, Alcatel-Lucent, Alvarion, Aperto Networks, Cisco, Clearwire, Comcast Cable, Fujitsu, Huawei Technologies, Information and Communications Research Laboratories at Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Intel, KDDI, KT, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Sprint, Tata Communications and ZTE. The WiMAX Forum's membership base represents an WiMAX ecosystem which supports more than 500 WiMAX network deployments in 145 countries.
